…To Resume Classes Today

The President of the University of Liberia Faculty Association (ULFA), Cllr. Viama J. Blama is calling on all instructors of the university to resume classes Monday, July 22, 2019.

According to a release, Cllr. Blama said UL administration have agreed to pay instructors’ June salary on or before Wednesday July 24, 2019, while its July Salary will be paid before the end of July 2019.

The release is a result of a press statement issued last week from a group of aggrieved UL instructors under the banner, “Concern Faculty Members of the University of Liberia”.

In the said release, the group said it has claimed their attention that the faculty members and employees of the University of Liberia have crucial issues with the University of Liberia.

Some of the issues raised in their statement were, “that the June and July salaries, allowances and benefits of all employees be credited to their various accounts held at their individual banks on or before Friday July 19.2019; that all monies deducted from the faculty and employees’ salaries accounts which are owed by the University are to be paid in full on or before July 19, 2019, among others things as they continue to hold the peace.”

However, ULFA President, Cllr. Blama, has urged its members to continue the good working relationship with the UL administration as all benefits and allowances will be paid in time.
