Twehway Hails Sinoe Port Director

The Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Dr. Bill Twehway has hailed the Port Director (PD) of the Sinoe Port, Alex S. Noah, for perfect and decent operations of the Sinoe Port.

Dr. Twehway said he was delighted and exceptionally excited to have seen the Sinoe Port been structure and properly managed under the able leadership of PD Noah.

According to Dr. Twhway, over the past time, PD Noah has shown a great sign of leadership and has proven his managerial skill in the management and operations of the port despite numerous challenges.

The Managing Director of National Port Authority (NPA) pledged his relentless support to the Sinoe and urged the Sinoe Port Director and his team to continue their good work in ensuring that the Port remains vibrant.

Dr. Twehway described the Sinoe Port as one of the best Ports in rural Liberia with a potential of ‘unlocking Sinoe revitalization.’

“This port is the gate way to Sinoe’s economic, its potential is great to make this county great again,” Dr. Twehway stated.

He made the assertions over the weekend when he led a high power delegation from the NPA for a one day visit to the Samuel Alfred Ross Port of Greenville, Sinoe County.

At the same time, Dr. Twehway has stressed the need for job security at Sinoe and Maryland Ports to ensure that the over 50 contractors at the both Ports are employed.

He said it is not his passion to see people work and not being employ. Dr. Twehway added: “I don’t take favor in contractor workers, people must be employed and gradually, we will employ the rest of the workers who are not yet on payroll, the NPA takes interest in you for your hard work and you will all be employed, but gradually.”

For his part, Greenville Port Director Alex Noah thanked Dr. Twehway for the level of understanding and support he continues to provide to the Sinoe Port.

Noah said he was glad that Dr. Twehway has embarked on the employment of his staff of over 130 workers.
