Legendary Juventus and Italy goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, is expected to undergo his medical with Paris Saint-Germain on Friday, ahead of a potential move to the Ligue 1 champions.
Buffon will then put pen to paper on a two-year contract, a source close to the transfer has told ESPN FC.
It is believed the contract for the 40-year-old, has been on the table since May, after his agent Silvano Martina and lawyer Luca Miranda visited Paris to iron out the details.
The deal was delayed because of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play (FFP).
However, Buffon is set to become Thomas Tuchel’s first signing at the French club, in a deal which includes an ambassadorial role for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
