MOGADISHU – Al Shabaab terrorist invaded an army barrack in Kismayu, a port city in the southern region of Somalia in the early hours of Sunday morning, said a Somalian military official. He added that the details of casualties is not yet known.
Though, Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the raid, saying that 26 army personnel were killed in the event, but it could not be verified by other reliable sources.
Spokesperson for the dreaded terrorist group, Abdiasis Abu Musab, told Reuters: “This morning, we stormed Bula Gudud. We killed 26 soldiers and burnt 2 cars.” However, Al Shabaab terrorist group who are linked to Al Qaeda Terrorist Network is known to exaggerate casualty figures.
Somalian National radio station also announced that the base has been raided by Al Shabaab terrorist but could not ascertain the number of casualties.
