Senegal – National Digitized Identity Cards Valid Until September 30, 2017

The digitized identity cards are still valid and therefore usable following a new extension, born of a decree signed by President Macky Sall.

Citizens who have not yet withdrawn their new biometric ID cards will be able to use the National Digital Identity Cards. Indeed, the slow distribution of new identity cards is an almost general observation throughout the entire territory and removing any functionality of digitized identity cards would certainly create a total inconsistency.

It is this inconsistency that comes to annihilate the new decree extending the chargeability of the National Digital Identity Card. It will now be available until September 30, 2017.
