PlayStation: Here are some of the games you can buy in Sony’s massive July PSN sale

share on:

It’s that time of the year again, folks. The Sony PlayStation Network (PSN) has another sale happening right now. You can save up to 70% on games such as Watch Dogs 2 and Assassin’s Creed Origins.

But hurry, all the offers end on 24 July. If you don’t see anything you fancy, remember that you can still get your two free PSN games for July. The initial lineup included Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 (PES 2019) and Horizon Chase Turbo.

Sony PlayStation Network free picks for July

PES is an annual title with less than two months before it’s new iteration the bizarrely named Football Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 comes out. So, many PlayStation gamers were not impressed with the offerings.

They made their thoughts known on social media. After a barrage of angry tweets and comments, Sony removed PES 2019 and added Detroit: Become Human instead.

It’s from the makers of Heavy Rain and will be making its debut on PC later this year. Detroit: Become Human seemed like a much better offering than PES 2019 and peace was restored to the galaxy once again.

Battlefield 4 is part of PSN’s Under €10 category. That means you can get your copy for only R89. That’s right; we’re not missing a digit there.

Imagine getting a blockbuster PlayStation title like that for under an R100. Don’t let the opportunity pass you by!

Don’t Starve

Another €10-er to make the list is Don’t Starve, a personal favourite of mine. It’s down 58% and selling for only R69 for the regular edition and R145 for the mega pack.

If you’re not familiar with Don’t Starve, oh sweet child have I got news for you. Enter a strange and unexplored world full of strange creatures, dangers, and surprises.

Gather resources to craft items and structures that match your survival style. I’ve lost hours of my life trying to evade the Shadow Creatures.

The PlayStation Deluxe edition includes the base game, as well as experimental Black Hand equipment and the Black hand Prototype ‘Skystriker’ Weaponised Wingsuit.

Tropico 5 for PlayStation 4

Ah, Penultimo! How miss that guy. Another one of my personal favourites – you will love Tropico, you will hate it, you will curse and then you will love it again.

Build your own tropical paradise on PlayStation 4, starting during colonial times and working your way through to modern times and beyond. Sounds easy? Yeah, we’ll see about that.

When the Capitalists love you, the Communists will hate you. Pay too much attention to the Nationalists and the Religious leader will despise you. Then just when you have every one your side, the Revolutionaries will cause drama. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is marked down from R629 to R255, securing you a marvellous saving of 59%. You’ll have an extra day to get the game at this great price; make sure you check that cart out before 25 July at 12:59.

XCOM 2 is the expansion of the 2016 award-winning strategy game of the year. It adds extensive new content in the fight against ADVENT when additional resistance factions form in order to eliminate the alien threat on Earth.
