Toke Makinwa has warned her female followers to stay away from miserly people who find it difficult to spend on themselves and on others.
The media personality, in a new video, explained how exhausting it is dating a stingy person. She also condemned men who, when they go on dates, scrutinize the bill and keep complaining about the cost.
Sharing the video, she wrote:
I am sooooo fine ????? okkkkkk let’s focus shall we??? It is Wednesday and my crazy side is here. Let’s talk about those miserly people. I call it “scarcity mentality”. They hate to spend on themselves talk-less of spending on other people. Dating a miser is so exhausting, even if you work hard, you will always be excessive even for the basic things of life to them. They will always find a way to make you look wasteful or feel bad for wanting more out of life. ?????. Stay away from people who suffer from “scarcity mentality” for your own peace of mind or you’ll defend why your kids should go to good schools, why you want more out of life, you’ll always explain yourself forever
Nollywood Actress, Ruth Kadiri and her hubby, Mr Ezerika, are expecting their first child and the actress took to Instagram to officially show off a glowing pregnancy photo of herself.
The lady whose excitement about being a mother seems to be growing rapidly wore a tracksuit, while proudly flaunting her baby bump. Ruth and her husband had their traditional and white wedding in November 2018.
Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, housemate, Esther, was at the early hours of Thursday pranked by fellow housemates; Sir Dee and Frodd.
It all started at the garden when Frodd approached Sir Dee all of a sudden for speaking ill about him to other housemates and hurled insults at him
This resulted into a serious argument between both housemates for some minutes, which attracted Esther and other housemates to the garden to separate them.
While Tacha and Omashola tried to calm down Sir Dee, Mercy and other housemates were pacifying Frodd.
However, when Esther got into the garden trying to separate the fight between Frodd and Sir Dee, she was thrown to one corner as Frodd shouted happy birthday to her.
He later sang a birthday song for her alongside Sir Dee and other housemates, adding that the supposed fight between him and Sir Dee was fake and intended to bring Esther to the garden to celebrate her birthday.
Esther in reaction buried her head in between her laps as she hugged all housemates in excitement.
Frodd and Sir Dee’s action earned them reactions and approval from Nigerians and BBNaija fans on social media.
Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter;

The senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu, has denied claims that he is the one captured in a viral video being slapped on the head on a train in London.
According to a report by Punch, in the seven-second video, a bespectacled bald man whose face is not shown, is sitting on a train when another man in a white shirt standing behind him gives him a heavy smack on the head and runs off before his victim can do anything.
Though the assaulted man’s face isn’t seen, many Nigerians on social media alleged that the man was Senator Kashamu.
The senator’s spokesman, Austin Oniyokor, in an interview with our Correspondent, however, denied the involvement of his principal, saying no one could identify the person in the video as Kashamu.
Onyiokor said the video had been shared on WhatsApp with people alleging that the victim was Kashamu.
He said, “Can you identify that person as Senator Kashamu?
“I wonder why you want me to react to something I cannot identify.
“If you can identify him, I want you to tell me. I cannot identify the person as my principal.
“That some people are sending something on WhatsApp does not make it (true).
“I do not expect any reporter or any medium worth its name to attach any probative value to something that cannot be proved.
“That is not my principal and I don’t know why I should react to it.”
Kashamu’s spokesman described the alleged assault as a non-issue.
According to him, no one could identify the person in the video, “except whoever is writing that is saying they went to London on the same flight or he/she was there when it happened.”
Asked if the senator was in Nigeria, he said, “Yes, if you want to see him, you can come to VI. He’s in his office — I don’t know what kind of trash. It has been on WhatsApp for about two weeks and, last week, Kashamu buried his mother in Ijebu.
“People were there; it was reported. So, I don’t know where this trash comes from. I’m not sure you or Punch can establish that that is him.”
This comes four days after former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, was physically assaulted by members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra in Nuremberg, Germany, on Saturday, during the New Yam Festival of the Igbo.
Nigerian singer Davido might just make it in the Jewelry industry if he decides to quit singing. Just recently, the famous 30BG diamond chain was spotted in Lagos traffic and the seller was willing to sell it for N4,000.
The seller was adamant the piece of Jewelry was authentic and it was made by an international company.
When the guy who recorded the video asked the seller if he took permission from Davido, the seller laughed and waved the question away, still determined to sell it for N4000
Thierry Henry has claimed he took over a difficult task at Monaco and believes that he can be a successful coach, despite a poor start to his managerial career.
The French legend took charge at his former club in October 2018 following Leonardo Jardim’s dismissal, taking over a Monaco team in a relegation fight.
Henry was sacked just three months later and replaced by Jardim, after four wins and five draws from 20 matches in charge.
Despite the setback, Henry is still eager to land another job in the dugout.
“I don’t think about the negative, I think about the positive. That’s why I went to Monaco and that’s why I still want to be a coach. You think about having a positive impact.
“Call me crazy if you want, but I love football and I believe I can be a successful coach. I’m not thinking about the pain, I’m not thinking about failure. I don’t like easy. I like to lead and it’s on me to make it happen. The same when I joined Arsenal as a player, the same when I went to Belgium with Roberto. It’s an evolution.
“Communication and honesty from the start is key. What’s the job? Is the job to stay up, is the job to win the League or be in the Champions League?
“But how and what is success? Is success improving players? Ultimately, results are the most important thing, but I want to improve players as well,” he told the Telegraph.
Henry also admitted that his time at Monaco didn’t go well, but insists he stepped into a task that was quite difficult.
“There is something I always say. You win or you learn, and, as you can imagine, I learned a lot. I still have Monaco in my heart, it’s the club that gave me my first opportunity as a player and gave me my first opportunity as a coach, so I will always be thankful to the people who gave me that, people who are there, some are gone.
“My heart talked at the time. I wanted to go back to where I started everything. I have zero regrets about what happened. It was a very difficult task and I felt that if I’d had more time I could have done more. But if you don’t get results, no matter what the circumstances, you have to go.
“All I would say is that if you don’t pass that line and sit on the bench, then you don’t know everything. I’ve heard a lot of people give their opinion on what happened at Monaco and, boy, they were wrong, but I will never go into details.
“If I knew I only had three months, then maybe I would have acted a different way, but I was trying to plan something for the future and doing that in such a little amount of time is very difficult.
“I’m proud of what we did achieve with such a young team. We had to win in Caen and Amiens, and those six points were very important. I had no doubt that team was going to stay up because there was enough quality.
“I came out of it fully reassured that’s what I want to do, zero doubt about it. I saw some of my ex-coaches after I left and they said ‘now you can say you are a coach because you’ve been sacked. Now you are a coach Thierry’. I am not complaining and I can only say thank you to everybody, but to build a legacy and build something for the future, it takes time,” he added.

Frank Nwafor, a music consultant at Anonymous Music shares his nuggets on how musicians can take advantage of the evolution and procure huge revenue from music.
Let’s be honest, marketing as a musician is quite tough. Nevertheless effective distribution will hit the nail on the head. The music expert also known as Pimpgod explains how effective mobile devices are in this age. He says “Everyone possesses a mobile device and they have it on them most of the time either at home, work or wherever wanting to discover any artiste or song they’ve never heard before. These are the merits you should be eager to ride with”.
Elaborating more on the predominance of our mobile devices, Frank continued. “Before this social media age, the avenue to distribute music weren’t so effective. DJs, radio station, televisions stations and the press were the only means by which your music gets to the potential fans. Today, it is composed of the day to day social media outlets”.
Frank claims music distribution is an easy task as it will seem difficult to the up-and-coming artistes. He made emphasis on proper monetization on digital channels such as Spotify, ITunes, Soundcloud and Audiomack. The Nigerian music industry over the years has been working on growing over free downloads platforms which obviously deteriorates the earning capabilities of an already distributed music.
Diverting to piracy which happens to be a major hurdle, Frank says “most musicians find it difficult to find a solid piracy prevention strategy. To fight piracy, an artiste needs to distribute his song at least two weeks before the release date, reason being that this will give music curators, streaming platforms and PRs enough time to review and prepare a solid marketing strategy. Any period lesser than two weeks won’t allow the curators and PRs build up enough momentum, after this the artiste can proceed with any skill of curbing piracy. This should aid in the sale of his music and enable him generate more revenue”.
To wrap it up, hitting gold on this digital space has to do with proper and effective marketing and distribution strategies. Hopefully at the end of it all, your music career is boosted.
