Nigeria: Father Gospel Inalegwu Resigns From Priesthood

A prevalent Kano based Roman Catholic minister who was kidnapped in Nigeria a year ago, Father Gospel .J. Inalegwu, has “surrendered” from brotherhood, sending an influx of stun over the congregation.

Sunday Sun accumulated that Father Gospel .J. Inalegwu had since offered his renunciation letter to the Bishop of Kano Diocese, Most Rev. John Namawzah Niyiring and had gone out of the state with every one of his effects.

A minister of the Catholic Church who denounced his activity, said the Church was yet to recuperate from the stun of his extraordinary activity.

He offered that the influenced minister may have been influenced by the injury of his snatching, including however that, “there could be other individual explanations for his activity”.

The Bishop went further to expose intimations that the cleric’s activity was educated by his kidnapping knowledge, demanding that, ” Long before his grab adventure, he had voiced out his want to do what he did. Furthermore, we have a record of that”

The Benue conceived Catholic minister, who was hijacked at his ward at St Joseph Catholic Church, Jitan – Dutse, in Tudun Wada Local Government Council, Kano State, was appointed in Kano State in 2013.
