Mother Theresa has been proclaimed as a saint by Pope Francis in a ceremony at the Vatican. During her life time she was revered for her charity works in India.
Tens of thousands of pilgrims has flunged the St Peter’s Square for the Mass and Canonization. Back in India a special mass was celebrated at the Order of the Missionaries and Charity.
The order she founded in Calcutta by the pilgrims who arrived at the vatican before dawn today.
Among the masses for the ceremony, cardinal Angelo Amato read a brief biography for Mother Theresa’s work and ask the Pope to canonize her in the name of the church.
Hundreds of missionaries are charged to assist in the order of the events. So many dignitaries including thirteen Heads of State were present at the event.
