Liberia Applauds Angola, Poland

President Dr. George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and People of the Republic of Angola on the occasion marking the 43th Independence celebration of that country.

According to a Foreign Ministry Release, the Republic of Angola will celebrate its 43rd Independence Anniversary on November 9, 2018.

In the message to Joao Lourenco, President of the Republic of Angola, President George Manneh Weah on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt felicitations and sincerest best wishes to the Government and people of Angola as they commemorate this historic occasion.

While expressing confidence over Liberia-Angola relations, President George Weah stated “As we collaborate to strengthen the bond of friendship and corporation between our countries, it is my fervent prayer that the Almighty God will continue to endow your Excellency with wisdom and strengthen as you lead your people to greater prosperity”.

At the same time, the president has also congratulated the Government and People of the Republic of Poland on the observance of Poland’s Independence Day.

The Republic of Poland will commemorate its Independence Anniversary on Sunday, November 11, 2018. Poland gained its Independence in 1918 from the German, Austrian and Russian Empires.

President Weah, on behalf of Liberia, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to His Excellency Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, and through Him, to the Government and people of Poland as they celebrate this historic event.

He further described Poland as an important partner that his government desires to strengthen ties with especially in the areas of education, agriculture, trade, science and technology.

He expressed hope that Liberia and Poland will work together for the advancement of women’s rights and empowerment, as well as youth exchanges and sports.

The. Liberian President then wished for President Andrzej Duda personal well-being and for the continued prosperity of the Government and people of Poland.
