IVORY COAST: Akossi Bendjo Decorated Best Mayor Of West Africa By AIM

A delegation of the Africa Intelligence Magazine led by Mrs. Doxa Lydia, Chairman of the Board of said Magazine and Mr. Coffie Herbert, Director General especially from Europe, distinguished the Mayor Noël Akossi Bendjo as Best Mayor of the Africa Zone from West.

The Distinction Committee has selected several municipalities, including that of the Plateau Commune. The selection criteria: good management and participative administration of the municipality, the living environment, hygiene and sanitation and finally the quality of the civil status service.

Doxa Lydia, congratulated the mayor laureate for his achievements and asked him to continue on this path.

Noël Akossi has for his part dedicated his prize to the populations of the Plateau because he will say “they trust us for stewardship of the plateau for years”.

Responding to decoration as Best Mayor of the Africa Zone from West, Noël Akossi Bendjo said the distinction proves that the work done is followed is appreciated beyond the borders of the municipality.

According to Bendjo, the ambition of the mayor of the plateau is to make Abidjan the gateway to West Africa. He also called on all his detractors to play ball on the ground because in his opinion the common plateau is open to all; indigenous peoples as long as everyone knows their place.
