Igbo-EfonThe Igbo-Efon community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State has advised those illegally occupying their land to meet with the family representatives to legalise their ownership of such land or be ready to vacate the property.

It would be recalled that the community right to Igbo-Efon land was confirmed in a landmark judgment delivered on December, 22, 2016 by Honourable Justice K. O. Alogba of the Lagos High Court in suit no LD/826_/2007.

In the judgement, Justice Alogba affirmed the family of Chief Atiku Abogun as rightful owners of Igbo-Egon land.

According to a statement issued by the community and signed by Chief Atiku Abogun, the  warning became necessary in order to  give those involved the opportunity to revalidate their ownership of the land, warning that failure to do so could lead to the community taking back their land through lawful means.
