Pep Guardiola calls for referee’s help after Raheem Sterling “trip”

And Guardiola has said that he wants match officials to get much more help in the future.

The Spanish gaffer told BT Sport: “We realized it was not a penalty, we do not like to score in that situation.

“You know VAR and what it is, the referee must receive help because they do not want to make mistakes.

“The game is so fast these days and it takes 10 seconds for somebody to say something to the referee.” He summed up.

City require one point from their final two fixtures in Group F to earn a place in the knockout stages.

Sterling anticipating stern Shakhtar, United tests

Manchester City forward, Raheem Sterling is allegedly anticipating totally stern tests from both Shakhtar Donestsk and Manchester United this week.
