Goodluck Jonathan ‘Takes Responsibility’ Over 2015 Election Loss, Set To Undo It 2019

NIGERIA [Insider] — After one-year off public domain, Former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan has taken blames over 2015 presidential election misfortune.

While taking responsibility for his party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, failure to retain power, Jonathan promised unrelenting effort to regain back presidential sit from All Progressive Congress come 2019.

This was made known to the public when one of the aspirants for the national chairmanship position of the PDP, Chief Olabode George, was on a courtesy visit to his country home in Otuoke, Bayelsa State.

in his words: “Whether I like it or not, I must take responsibility for the defeat because I led the party to the election”.

“My dream is to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party regains the Presidency in 2019.”

“The only thing that will make me sleep well is to ensure that the PDP comes back to power. He said.

Recall that With presidential election results from all but one of Nigeria’s 36 states were yet to be counted, and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, clearly in the unassailable lead, President Jonathan had telephoned Mr. Buhari to concede defeat.
