Ado-Ekiti – Ekiti State citizens overseas, known as Ekiti in Diaspora (EID), will organise debate for the candidates of various political parties ahead of the July 14, 2018 poll.
A statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti by Emmanuel Dada, chairman of EID in Houston, Texas, said the event billed to hold later this week would avail stakeholders the opportunity to interface with the political gladiators.
Tagged ‘2018 Organised Debate’, the statement disclosed that the programme is one of its social responsibilities to the state.
Kayode Fayemi, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate; Professor Kolapo Olusola, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, and others are expected to grace the event, where they are expected to unveil their manifestoes.
Thirty-five candidates from different political parties are participating in the election.
