Gambella, November 12, 2018 (SSNA) — Anyuak gunmen have killed South Sudanese refugees in a United Nations-run refugee camp located in Ethiopia’s Gambella region, a senior official working for the Ethiopian Administration for Refugee and Returnee Affairs (ARRA) who demanded his name be submerged because he was not authorized to speak to the media told the South Sudan News Agency (SSNA) on Monday.

The official said the killing was carried out at a farm and that those who were killed or wounded work for agricultural projects around Kule three or Nguenyyiel refugee camp, adding, “gunmen chased some refuges deep inside bushes and that the authorities are trying to locate them,”

The South Sudan News Agency was also told that at least two people were confirmed dead and several people were wounded, some in critical conditions.
