A Zambia Police Officer has told Zambian Watch that eight Chinese Nationals who were recruited as Police officers are still in the service.
An officer who sought anonymity says the Police Command deliberately issued a statement to stop Zambians from criticizing the move.
The officer says all the eight Chinese officers who are believed to have been fired in 12 hours after being recruited are on payroll.
“You guys things are not true. A statement was issued that eight Chinese officers are no more in the police service, they are still part of us. They will be operating in the background. You might wish to know that the service command just issued a statement” a police officer said.
“That statement was meant to stop Zambians from criticizing the move, the command was shocked that people including PF allies were against the move. We are still together and soon you will be seeing their assignment. Their assignment will be political and raiding people at night. They are government workers now” an officer said.
