Cameroon-European Union – Next Political Dialogue Discussed

This was during an audience yesterday granted the Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation in Cameroon by the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth.

The Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, on November 14, 2018 granted two separate audiences to the Ambassador, Head of EU Delegation in Cameroon, Hans-Peter Schadek and the Brazilian Agency for Cooperation led by the Brazilian Ambassa dor, Vivian Loss Sanmartin.

Hans-Peter Schadek said he exchanged views with the Minister Delegate on the thorough organisation of the next political dialogue scheduled for December. “In principle, we had a little round on diffe rent topics which we are working on collectively but of course one issue which is on our agenda now, is to prepare the next political dialogue session that we will have hopefully in the month of December,” he stated.

Going by the EU boss in Cameroon, their objective is preparing for fruitful discussions when the time arrives. Meanwhile, Ambassador Vivian Loss Sanmartin said her meeting with Minister Felix Mbayu, was to present the delegation of the Brazilian Agency for Cooperation which came to Cameroon in the context of the project to modernise the civil registry in the country based on the Brazilian experience.

“It is a very important project and it is the beginning of cooperation with the Brazilian agency after ten years without bilateral projects. I hope that this will represent the beginning of fruitful cooperation not only in the domain of the civil status registry but in other areas of cooperation,” she noted.
