The women wing of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Obigbo Rivers State chapter on Thursday the 7th December donated food-stuffs to forgotten IPOB family members illegally incarcerated by Nigerian soldiers during the infamous ‘Operation Python Dance II’.
Recall that more then 100 Biafrans were brutally massacred, scores were wounded, while hundreds were illegally detained by the Nigerian soldiers. The home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was invaded and more than 30 persons were killed there in, while the Biafra leader was taken to an unknown destination by the soldiers.
IPOB members had focused on the wounded and the dead victims of the ‘Operation Python Dance II’; as a result, their detained members were given little or no attention.
However, in dogged show of resoluteness, brotherhood and comradery, IPOB women in Obigbo visited some of the detained members in prison and donated food items which includes bags of rice, toiletries, cartons of indomie Clothes, Shoes etc to them.
The detained IPOB family members were filled with joy, and thanked the IPOB women in Obigbo who defied all odds to visit them in prison for their determination and vowed to remain stronger and resolute against all odds.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People Of Biafra has been working assiduously to ensure that Biafra is restored according to UN laid down rules.
On the other hand, Nigeria security operatives has been harassing, intimidating, arresting and extra-judicially killing the members of IPOB in a bid to stop the agitation for a free state of Biafra.
