2019: Ijaw Women Root For Okowa

delta state government, Failed Project, Asaba Central Hospital, Okowa, Ghost WorkersOleh – Ijaw women under the aegis of Ijaw Women Support Group for Okowa (IWSGO), has vowed to return Governor Ifeanyi Okowa  of Delta State back to Governor’s House, Asaba, in 2019.

The convener of the group, Deacon Arede Edeinmene, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, disclosed this shortly after its meeting at Warri, Delta State, asserted Okowa has won hearts of Ijaw women.

Edeinmene, who was flanked by Chief Mrs. Josephine Abeki, chairperson of the group, Mrs. Vero Bamuza-Mutu, mother of the group and mother of Ijaw Nation as well as Mrs. Ebikefe Bello, Secretary of IWSGO, described Okowa’s antecedents as in development and empowerment as colossal.

He stated that the group in its next meeting would meet with community women leaders across the Ijaw speaking local government areas in the state to sensitize and mobilize them to speak and preach the gospel of Okowa in their communities.
